CBOE to List LEAPS(R) on KLA-Tencor Corporation (KLAC) on Tuesday, March 3
CHICAGO, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, March 3, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) will list LEAPS(R) (Long-term Equity Anticipation Securities(R)) on KLA-Tencor Corporation (Nasdaq: KLAC - news). With the addition of KLA-Tencor Corporation, CBOE will list a total of 145 LEAPS on highly capitalized, actively traded equities.
KLA-Tencor Corporation LEAPS will have strike prices of 40, 50 and 60 with expirations in January 1999 (ticker symbol VXG) and January 2000 (ticker symbol LXG). (Note: strike prices are subject to change based on the price of the underlying security.)
Trading hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:02 p.m. Chicago time.
Year-end volume in equity LEAPS for 1997 was 5.14 million contracts (representing 514 million shares of stock).
CBOE also lists the following long-term index options: DJX LEAPS(R), based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average(R); OEX LEAPS(R) and SPX LEAPS(R), based on the S&P 100(R) and S&P 500(R) stock indexes; and LEAPS on the CBOE Mexico, Russell 2000(R), Nikkei 300, CBOE Technology, CBOE Internet and CBOE Oil indices. In addition, the Exchange lists LEAPS on interest rates.
