FUGAZI, That's my point. Grad students make less than professors and students make less than technician, and technicians who work for academia make less than those who work for companies. In academia, everything is cheaper. When I moved my lab to Progenx from Scripps, all employees made more money, even though most of the work was the same. If the pay was the same, then few would chose to work for a company.
