-- TO THE THREAD -- I would like to share the following observations: 1. On Friday, Feb 13, 1998 Adtn went up 4 points to over $34 with over 1M shares traded. Why? There was no significant news release. Was this activity due to heavy purchase or heavy short covering. 2. The short interest for Adtn has increased by 20K, from 843,934(1/15/98) to 863,987(2/15/98). However, those were the dates that the short interests were updated/reported, not necessarily the closing dates. 3. Adtn's volume has been heavier than normal in the past few trading days; with down-ward pressure. 4. Looks like some are accumulating Adtn and some are shorting it. Comments?
