Rumour has it that QDEK is readying both CleanSweep 4.0 and RemoveIt 98, sequels to the current uninstallers.

This does confuse me, however. Anyone know why Quarterdeck would continue to develop two products which compete in the same space? Are they really positioned so far apart that they don't overlap in the intended customer base and create enough of an opportunity to continue to develop both?

Does anyone know if the RemoveIt development group has no other projects to work on and thus QDEK has just continued development on it?

My information about the forthcoming release of these two products is only rumour, and does not come from within the company. I offer it up as food for thought, but cannot substantiate the accuracy.
