My understanding is that PHP still talks to SSB a lot, but that they also talk to several other analysts, and are waiting for them to issue recommendations. WP is just the first of these others to do so. As for who follows WP's advice in the market, it sounds like you know more about them than I do. I have no idea because I had never heard of them before! It does seem that someone does because of the move after the announcement.

One thing that someone at the company told me was that they didn't think that any analysts would come out will recommendations until after earnings because of the beating that their market sector had taken recently. I was really surprised and pleased that someone did begin coverage in this environment, especially with such a favorable statement.

BTW, who is Chuck Riley? Is he at WB?
