Compaq predicts tough time for HCL

The $24.6 billion Compaq Computer Corporation of the United States said on Tuesday it would soon beat HCL Corporation and rank as number one player in the Indian desktop personal computer market. In 1996-97, Compaq sold PCs worth Rs 350 crore in the Indian market.
