Shirley - PFG's right to defend itself (slander), relations with ABX, etc.
It's a fine line - the company discussion page I mean. It is their page after all(unlike this string, where funnily enough, there aren't many extreme statements).
Slander is slander, whether in the newspapers, on the airwaves, or on a company discussion page. I don't suppose the use of a pseudonym protects the sender of the message. Do you turn a blind eye or let it build without response? (suggestions of stock manipulation, etc.)
As I said, it's a fine line:
Relations with Barrick, etc. I can't visualise how many personnel PFG actually have on the ground at the property. They are maybe quite in the dark as to what Barrick really think, and what their intentions are.
Also, Barrick has become a huge entity with operations in many places (anyone following CBI out there?!), with its own bureaucratic chains of command - so it must be somewhat frustrating for PFG to read the discussion forum and this link, when there are many things they would like to know the answer to themselves!
