No I think all inventories (ie. supply vs demand) has now been worked down to equalibrium. Analysts' mean estimates were $0.47, according to First Call and we delivered $0.46 in a soft quarter! Look for continued growth and expect analysits to begin to increase their earnings estimates.

Here is more about Lattice:

* LATTICE SEMI said the slowdown in the computer chip market
appeared to be ending. Cyrus Tsui, president and CEO of Lattice,
said "Bookings increased significantly during September and have
continued at a similar pace as we begin the new quarter(ie."October looks real good! per EKS") However, we are still totally dependent on 'turns' orders to achieve near-term growth in business," he said, referring to orders for immediate delivery. Also I think we are gaining market share on Xilinx. Look at what they reported at the close....

* After the market closed, XILINX INC reported 2Q EPS of $0.27
after charge vs $0.37 on revenues of $130.5 mln vs $141.2 mln
last year. Analysts' mean estimates were $0.39, according to
First Call. Results for the latest quarter include a $5.0 million
write-off of the Company's XC8100 product family. Excluding the
impact of the write-off, operating income, net income and net
income per share were $34.5 million, $24.6 million and $0.31
respectively for the 3Q. (Reuters 04:49 PM ET 10/15/96) For the
full text story, see

The analyst estimates (even after the adjustments for the one time write off) were off by $0.08. Sell your Xilinx and buy Lattice for the long term.
