Dear Solid Play, if I have misjudged your intentions, then please accept my apologies.
DAK is turning out to be no exception to the rule that stock plays often take longer than expected. I have come to expect that "tomorrow" means "next week" and "six weeks" usually turns out to be "six months." I first heard of DAK from Chris Livadas of CIA fame back in early June. Chris said then that DAK would be a double in about six weeks. Well, here it is...mid-October already and the shares are 20c cheaper than where I took my first position.
In the interim I've had the opportunity to learn more about the company. I have talked to Mr. Bateman on several occasions at roughly six week intervals, since June. The financing took longer than expected, but now that's behind us. I can confirm a previous post that he is soon to announce the company's geologist, who is evidently someone of stature in his field...or why make an issue of it?
Perhaps the biggest factor keeping the price drifting between C$0.30 and C$0.60 is related market activity. As I stated in an earlier post, it is my feeling that a lot of people who have invested in Coleville Resources are also investors (or potential investors) in DAK. If you've been following Coleville, you know that news is pending regarding their Indonesian gold properties. Many people feel that Coleville will explode when they finally have clinched the deal and announce their JV partner. I'm beginning to think that the recent fall-off in DAK's share price may be more than just another shake-out. Perhaps a more reasonable explanation is the fact that Coleville news is imminent and people are doing some final positioning...maybe at the expense of liquidating their positions in DAK. When CLL's news finally does break, I think a good many CLL investors will take out their costs and some profits only to jump into other plays where they can get leverage and a quick double or triple in price. DAK is certain to be one of several issues that will be snapped up. When millions of dollars pour out of Coleville into DAK, the supply of DAK shares will just dry up and one will see it trade several multiples higher.
So, Solid Play, if I over-reacted to your post, it is only because it would be unkind (yes...simply unkind!) of someone to scare another into selling just when they're at the threshhold of success.
I have no intention of ending on a negative note, but I really want to know the answer to something I see happen in these threads. Why do people like you - who seem to possess good intellects and can parse language well - post under silly pseudonums? (In the CLL thread it was "Grislee Bear." Are you and Grislee Bear one and the same?) If you want anonymity, why don't you simply make-up and stick with a recognizable alias - a name that would allow someone as myself to follow your posts over time. I could then guage better whether the sincerity that seems to characterize your second post to this thread is genuine or just specious.
