Gary,

My wife and I love Laughlin and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there. We stay at Harrah's in Laughlin. It is like a small version of Vegas. Much more toned down, but still lots of fun. Laughlin sits on the border between Nevada and Arizona right on the Colorado river. Last time I was there the weather wasn't so good...around 70 and it rained which only happens a couple of times a year. The first time we were there it was hot, around mid 90's and typically very dry. One of the nice things about Laughlin is that there is more to do than gamble, see shows and eat...we took a wave runner up and down the river. It was wild...the river was very cold but felt good because the hot dry air felt like a blast furnace as you were running up and down the river. Very cool!

Oh, yeah...we did the gambling etc as well, but it is more laid back than Vegas. More like a vacation in my mind. Try it sometime. Lots of fun.
