*OT* Here's my over-and-out: <<people that might have bought more expensive machines are now buying cheaper ones with lower margins.... this is an absolute, so allthough the market is expanding, margins are shrinking... and the fear expressed today my BS and ML is that they will shrink further faster...>> Not an absolute. I'll say it one more time, please go look it up so I don't have to say it yet again---Compaq's margins are increasing. A lot of families can now buy an extra computer now thanks to the sub-1k, and a lot of people can now afford to buy their first computer. As for people that choose to buy a sub-1k when they really need more, I don't think it's an issue. One more time: Compaq's margins continue to increase. Over and out. One more thing, who should I believe on this issue, Ekhard Pfieffer or you and Dave? Believe I'll stick with Eckhard.
