Paul, to be honest I've never had any kind of position in CS(short or long) and don't anticipate getting one. I do hold quite a few of the company's competitors and see them and CS in action with customers I consult for. I don't like the company's product line-up and think that the shakeout that's under way in this area could easily leave them behind the curve. If you chart CS, CSCO, ASND, BAY, COMS, NN and LU for any period you like over the past 5 years, you'll see they(CS) have NEVER delivered value to shareholders and virtually everyone else has....

Here's a few samples of 5 year stock appreciations..

ASND +1736%
CSCO +775%
COMS +301%
LU +206%(2 years)
BAY +129%
NN +65%
CS -23%

You can plot this over virtually any period you like and the numbers almost always come out the same. Think about it, over the period of the most unbelievable explosion in communications & networking in the history of computing, CS has a negative return to investors of 23% over 5 YEARS!!! Anyone who thinks this is just a fluke isn't facing the historical record of a company that has consistently failed to deliver value to its shareholders. While others have gotten stronger CS has gotten weaker, now the real dogfight is about to begin as the rate of expansion in the market begins to slow down. Big dawgs gonna eat the little dawgs fo' lunch!
