As long as that is what it is being used for I might go along with it. I would be however no sharing my profits (or potential profits) with MORE SHAREHOLDERS More is not merry.

I just need to get this straight. Probably a stupid question.

The way a company makes money on its stock is to sell it. Once it is sold those particular shares can do nothing more for the company than to affect the companys market value, right? Is there any direct financial effect linked to the share price as far as the company is concerned?

General question. Any takers?
