Paul T--RTT Performance with new T1 line
I have to tell you that I'm thoroughly disappointed with RTT's performance since the T1 line was installed. It still takes 20-30
minutes after the open before RTT begins to show accurate volume and price data. And on some stocks the delay in reporting accurate data is as much as an hour. This morning, one stock I follow that started trading at the opening bell did not show any activity on RTT until
09:44, and when it did "Time and Sales" showed one trade of 50,000
shares when in fact there had been a number of trades. I have been subscribing to RTT since July 1, 1997. During this period NAQ has
promised but not delivered improvements on a number of occasions (software rebuild, T1 line, etc.). Well, the T1 line has been installed and I can't find any improvement. Now we are told that two additional T1 lines will be installed and that will make things better. You must realize that with promises of improvements that do not materialize your credibility is eroding very fast. Look, I like RTT just as I'm sure many other subscribers like RTT, but there comes a time when you start to feel that someone is throwing BS around. I'll hang around until the additional T1 lines are installed. If I don't see any improvement then, I will look elsewhere even though I truly like RTT, but I will also feel sorry for NAQ because I don't see how you can survive much longer unless improvements are implemented.
