Sorry if I am wrong, a pyramid scheme is one which people recruit downlines to generate "sales" and promised wealth and fortune. I was in one before so you dont have to explain much to me.

Starbucks runs stores, and in certain locations, licensed stores. Maybe their ROE is relatively low, that doesnt make it a pyramid scheme in any ways. They run their stores, they pay their employees, so I dont think Starbucks qualifies for a pyramid scheme.

You may call it a scheme if you want, because you are entiitled to you opinions. But pyramid...I dont think so.
