If the slopes are plotted in the same window as the base indicators make sure you're setting up their scaling readouts on opposite sides of the window from the indicator scale. If the slopes are in a different window than the indicators use left and right scaling individually for each slope or specify to overlay one without scale (and then plot a horizontal zero line in a corresponding color so you can recognize the baseline). The first slope is probably not really being deleted; just disappearing because of the magnitude of numerical difference between the calculations of the two when using the same scale.
