Historical perspective? Maybe it's worth thinking about. I owned CRUS a little over a year ago, and looked through this thread pretty actively. I remember Ted Quinn predicting its spectacular fall. I got out with a loss, and was glad I did, because it fell a lot farther. What is the fundamental attractiveness of this stock right now, other than its low price? There are dozens of specialty chip makers scattered around the country. I wouldn't mind going long on stock or options of CRUS if I had some hard evidence that they were going places again. But PCs have become such a commodity market that it is difficult to predict (or care) which chip maker will have the latest bell or whistle. The end user who buys a system will generally accept whatever package is proposed by a name brand PC vendor. Based on Ted's abrasive but accurate analysis of the weakness of chip stocks in general, the future does not seem rosy. What makes CRUS stand out from the crowd?
