I suspected yesterday before noon when Dell was at 142 that the missile ascent of this stock was just too tempting for the taking. The late afternoon sell off did not surprise me.
Today's yackety yak yak from Merrill wanting to Lynch Compaq and eat it for Lunch caused the sharp and abrupt sell of of Intel and Dell. Tom Kurlac has some kind of potty problem with Intel lately and the pull back in the stock was expected. The market guest monitor on the NBR Friday night was telling everyone to short sell Intel. It will recover I am sure. The retreat by Dell was expected but this is a tremendous buying opportunity as there is nothing short of excellence regarding this companies business model. It was quite impressive to see the Nasdaq close down only a point after being down 20 earlier. I was not happy to see Dell fall on its bell but Oh Well it will be swell again and soon. The company had a huge percentage increase since April of last year. Today's trading saw Dell ending off its earlier lows and closed above 130. I am expecting that barring any other negative commentaries we will see some sure buying interest with Dell especially since the split is occurring shortly. This stock should be a real darling before the end of this year.
