Well, I checked at the local Comp USA and they currently have seven PC Guru's on display. They have sold one copy since I checked on Jan 25.. www4.techstocks.com The person who bought the one copy sold was a friend from work who saw the copy I have. Pretty sad!! When is MediaX going to advertise their product? It is really hard to sell software when nobody has ever heard of it. PC Guru has been on the shelve for almost 2 months now and I have yet to see even the slightest hint of advertising. Is MediaX waiting until Win98 is released so PC Guru will be outdated when they start their advertising blitz? Also, I wonder where they are going to advertise. Here are a couple of questions to ponder..

1) Has anybody that isn't involved with MediaX ever heard of PC Guru?

2) Everybody keeps hearing about the Endcap displays that are going in Comp USA. If you were a first time user of a computer (Target customer), would you go to Comp USA where you would be overwhelmed or would you visit Walmart, Radio Shack, ect.? I know 5 people that got their first computer within the last 6 months. I asked where they looked for software. Only one said that he went to Comp USA, the other 4 said they browsed through Walmart because they already go there anyway and felt comfortable.

3) Does anybody know what supermarket chain is carrying PC Guru?

4) Rumor has it that Tiger Direct will be carrying ads for PC Guru. How many novice or new computer users subscribe to Tiger Direct?

If their are any fairly new computer users on this thread, I would be curious to find out the first place you ever looked at software.. If you aren't a member of SI, feel free to e-mail me at garfield@mad.scientist.com and I will post your experience for everybody.
