It will most likely never go to trial. The new law passed in 1994 makes it very difficult for shareholders to suit companies over bad earnings. Basically, proof of intent to defraud must be shown.

This is a ploy to get SYSF to settle out of court, pay the lawyers 40% or so, and divide the pennies among the rest of the shareholder stupid enough to sign on to it.

When you invest, you had better do your homework. After that, you take your chances. I do not believe in safety nets. SYSF is not the kind of company you put your retirement funds in. Its for speculators and aggresive stock purchasers that keep an eye on it closely. Those that got burned hopefully will learn from their mistakes. And there are those that simply don't belong in the market as individual investors and would be much better off with a mutual fund, so this may help "educate" them.
