Pat, Shiva makes remote access concentrators which compete with
3Com's and ASND's products. Completely different business.

However, NT has long had it's own ATM technology (although a significant
amount of it seems to have been OEMed from Fore). IMHO, there's way too
much overlap for NT to buy NN.

I think the NT-Shiva relationship is another example of why NT won't buy
ASND. NT already gets it's remote access stuff from Shiva, and has in
house ATM. So what's ASND got that NT needs?
