These new prices on PPCs are still (on average) $300 more expensive than their Dell or
Gateway equivelents who are also being advertised heavily on all the major tv networks.
Apple needs to go all the way, rather than give a half-hearted effort at being price
competitive. They've been slashing prices for several months now.

Style,

It is difficult to compare the two. The DELL unit uses CISC and the Macs use RISC. Different archtecture altogether.

I suppose the bottom line is the application in question.
