As veterans of the Art Bell website already know, crop circles are inflationary and it's only a matter of time before their widespread existence makes its way into the cost of living even if economists choose to ignore its volatile food and energy components. This is bearish for the market. Furthermore, while Skousen (knock on madera) is down in Guatemala lecturing free market principles to students of Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek, his current newsletter warns that Y2K could shut down the IRS, air traffic control, a large portion of the health insurance industry, provincial banks, and guess what--Asia can't afford the expense of becoming compliant and its banks could be doomed. On the positive side, a time traveller called in to Bell's show and revealed that the lost continent of Atlantis will resurface soon somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. --AG
