Emmo, well said! ---- Phil, re your <<In fact they're simply the first investor>>.

If you look a little further into Valence history you will find that the Bellcore technology was licensed in June 1995. In 1991 The company formed an R&D agreement with GM Delphi and another with Eveready in May 1994. The stock has traded on NASDAQ since May 1992 so Bellcore was definitely not the first investor.

The fact that Bellcore owns 1.5 million shares in Valence has been stated before on this thread. It was also mentioned that of their approximately 10 licensees, Bellcore elected to own stock only in Valence. Are you sure this is not an indication that Bellcore believes Valence has the greatest potential for success?
