>Old, old, old news.<From a public relations standpoint, it's a lot smarter for Shugart to fly around in a plane that SEG leases from a company that Shugart just happens to own, rather than Shugart flying around in a plane that SEG owns.
There's likely to be a lot less stink, because;
1. most stockholders won't be aware of what's going on (not everyone reads the 10K reports like Lawrence Kam)
2. even for the stockholders that are aware of the leasing arrangement, and the fact that Shugart owns the leasing company, it's still more defensible because the 10K says SEG is paying a 'fair price' for the lease (I'm not talking economic values, but practical shareholder relations).

The chairman of AMD used to drive around in an expensive car, was it a Rolls (or just a Jaguar, or what?) that the company owned. There was a stink raised about that, partly because the stock had done so lousy for years.

The way Shugart is playing it is smart (good public relations), and maybe he's even able to make a few more bucks on the side as well.
