Mr. Reid, read this: infoworld.com <Micron is planning to relegate the 1.44MB floppy drive to option status and offer the 100MB Zip drive instead, bringing the future of removable storage closer to now. The move by Micron to make the Zip the primary drive in its forthcoming Millenia PCs in March may be indicative of a transition that has been a long time coming, moving from floppy disks to more powerful storage options. "It is a leap of faith for Micron, but floppies are completely going out," said Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies, in Mountain View, Calif. "Micron is doing what Apple did in the '80s, when they went straight to 3.5-inch floppies from 5.25-inch. It does make sense because you do want higher capacity." > BUT, you said: <I don't think so!
