I check the three stores (CompUSA, ComputerCity and Babbages) here in Anchorage Alaska evry 3-4 days. ComputerCity and CompUSA appears to try and keep 6-8 as their high limit and re-orders when it gets down to about 2-3 copies. This has cycled several times since GURU was released. Babbages on the other hand seems to be stuck in the mud. I've only seen 2 copies, and one of those I bought. It appears that games is their main focus with the youger croud. Still no end-caps anywhere and haven't seen ant reviews or advertisements in the early March edition mags. As I posted earlier, I call IR to find out the estimated time when we could be seeing those and they conveyed that it normally takes 2 months. There's a slight chance we'll see something in March, but most likely in April. As far as sales numbers, those won't be released until the next earning report, estimated late March to early April. MXMX is taking a conservative recording approach, actual sales number to end-users vs. orders shipped to retailers. I've got to agree with this, so to keep the earning modifications to a minimum.
Last month I posted the comments from a fifth grader, who I asked to give GURU a test drive. Come to find Nancy P. emailed her and thanked Brittany for the review and will be contacting her for additional comments. To me, as a shareholder, my opinion in Nancy has gone up several notches. This interaction with end-users is absolutely critical to the success in these types of products.
Called IR and they're sending me the latest analyst report, expecting it any day now.
Thats about it from the great white north, will post anything we find new. |
