XAL gets a boost today from DLJ earnings upgrades of several carriers. I think DLJ is the firm which tanked the airlines a week and a half ago when they said earnings expectations would be difficult to meet. If so, it looks like they are playing games. The day they came out with the earlier announcement was on options expiration Friday (actually the day after the XAL options stopped trading).

Could this be an opportunity to buy puts on the back of this potential rally?
