Eckhard P. is not Michael Dell. He is a business veteran with good experience telling him what customers want down the road. As the article states the DEC merger brings CPQ more customers and a great sales and service organization. It does not matter to him that CPQ stock suffers for 3-4 months. He cares about 3-5 years down the road.
