"IBM shows tiny 1-inch 'consumer' disk drive"

Yes, very interesting. Now, let's do some simple math:

IBM drive: 400 MB for $200.

Iomega Clik! drive: Drive $100 (est), Disks 10@40MB/ea, $10/ea: $200

IBM: ability to add storage in 400 MB chunks @ $200

Iomega: ability to add storage in 40 MB chunks @ $10

It seems to me they both have their place, IBM for people who primarily work with large data (picture?) arrays and don't want to carry around multiple smaller disks; Iomega for people with less demand for "big" data/picture storage and/or transport in smaller chunks (for less $ per chunk if the disk were to get lost/transferred/stolen/appropriated).

Plus, after the first 400 MB, additional storage is « the cost from Iomega.
