From the Yahoo thread -- Noblesse, have you ever attended this ESV conference? Can anyone comment on it?

I spoke with NHTSA today with the following comments. First Final Rule 201 Dynamic is targeted for release end of March but is more likely to come during April. It is my understanding that it will support inclusion of Dynamic Systems. It may have some suprises versus the proposal, but the tone and changes will support ITS plus other Dynamic systems.
Also, there is a big conference (once every 2 years called ESV) in May sponsored by NHTSA in Canada. There will be papers presented by SMU and NHTSA on recent tests of Rollovers (ITS) and inflatable seat belts. The concept of inflatable seat belts is not new, but the SMU product was positively spoken of. The key may be the material which is definately patented. Please post to SI if you think this is valuable.
