Can someone explain the difference between vested and unvested options? Are these just options that wear a three piece suit????
I dont really understand how there could be such a discrepency wrt to what 500,000 shares represents for mr case: 15% or 40%. If its fifteen, i would be willing to attribute it to disversification, etc. but 40% divestiture would be quite remarkable, and would indicate that case thinks AOL is so overpriced that he is willing to start sacrificing his control of the company in order to cash in at these prices. bill gates notoriously believes MSFT is way overpriced, yet he sell (as a percentage) very small amounts of his holdings every quarter. If Gates ever sold even 10% of his holding, the whole stock market would probably crash. In any case, i find the 40% figure a little incredible, and I would like to better understand this 'vested/unvested' business.
