Hi Jim,

that comment i made about "waiting for the IPO" was not very smart,
as it may turn out.
here's why...

we know the KIWIT D shares will turn into Level 3 shares automatically.
if the rumor is true that KIWIT Ds will soon split again, 3-1, then
anyone holding, say 500 shares of KIWIT now, will have 1500 shares
after the split, but before the IPO. (or at the IPO)
so, when Level 3 comes public you not only will have enjoyed the
benefit of a split prior to the offering, you'll be in possession of more
shares to participate in its initial run-up.

it's a good deal all the way around.
without knowing for sure, i think we have to give some credence to
Dog's letter, published a few posts back. the stock started to run
right after he said he received it.
