Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel Products to be Distributed by Bell
Microproducts

COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 1998--Emulex Corp. (NASDAQ:EMLX), a leading manufacturer of fibre channel host bus adapters and hubs, Wednesday announced an agreement with Bell Microproducts (NASDAQ:BELM) including distribution rights for the LightPulse(tm) family of fibre channel hubs and host adapters for the
North American marketplace.

Emulex is a leader in fibre channel technology with its LightPulse family of products which include the industry's most cost
effective PCI adapter, the LP3000NT; as well as the LP6000, a full-featured fibre channel PCI bus adapter card supporting
all topologies and all classes of service, which has been in volume production since the second quarter of 1996. Along with the
recently announced LP7000 high performance PCI host adapter and a full line of Emulex fibre channel hub products, Emulex offers a complete fibre channel systems solution.

Bell Microproducts will provide both marketing and technical support for Emulex's entire fibre channel family of products.
