Actually Craig, I probably should have said MSN rather than MSNBC as I don't recall what particular part of the Evil Empire the article (referring to info vs entertainment content) mentioned. MSNBC, I guess, is both a cable TV channel and a Web site (try msnbc.com; just a guess), the general news content piece of MSN, while MSN is both an ISP and a content provider/aggregator.

But, we could argue the relative merits of all the search sites and content providers all day long and we might even agree that one is better right now for our particular needs. That doesn't mean that our choice will be the same a year from now or that any one of them is a good investment right now.

We can only guess at how much money there is to be made from the Internet and trying to guess who will get what share of that pie is even harder. To value any one of the many current and potential participants as if the pie will be huge and rich, and as if that one participant will definitely get the biggest, richest piece of the huge pie is an absurd, acid induced halucination.
