I also think Oil Change is a cool product concept. It also highlights one of SystemSoft's real weakness in that they seem to require special servers which an OEM must manage. Sounds complicated. With CyberMedia's Oil Change don't OEMs just post updates on their web sites as they do today.

I think Phoenix has fired a cannon into the mountainside launching an avalanche of products and technology targetted directly at call avoidance. But its not just Phoenix!

Symantec released FastFind (which you can download from Symantec's web site) after I saw a review in PC Magazine. FastFind has the following:
* WebFind - which polls all the top engines for you, launches your preferred browswer and returns the results in a single location
* WebLaunch - displays a list of all your bookmarks
* Notify - automatically notivies you when selected files, folders, FTP or Web sites have changed.
* PatchConnect - It analyzes your system to determine what hardware and software you have installed. It then sets up easy connections to those vendors' Internet sites.
* NetFileFind - searches the Internet for the file you want anywhere on the Web.
* EasyFTP - FTP through Windows Explorer.
* LiveUpdate - Download the latest free updates to FastFind.

As more time goes on I start to wonder where these incredible OEM deals for SystemSoft are? When will AST actually ship? Will I be able to buy SystemSoft at 18 next month?
