What I'm getting at is I don't believe there were just three archangels. Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel and that Lucifer took his 1/3 into rebellion against God. When God drove out Adam and Eve from the garden He sent Cherubim to guard it. It must have been more than one because it's plural. Angels are of many different orders and have different functions in the kingdom of God. I believe there are Cherubim, Seraphim, Archangels, and a host of others that are not mentioned in scripture. When Daniel talked about Gabriel he didn't describe him as a Cherub such as you find in Ezekiel chapter 10, but as a chief prince who looked like a man and who later in the new testament was called the Archangel.

Have you ever heard of a man named Howard Pittman? If not, I recommend reading his book called Placebo. -Chris
