Publishers at Great-Stuff...

There are 500 titles, not 500 publishers. Geez, if there were 500 publishers, WAVX would be valued similar to Amazon.com !!

Psygnosis is the second quality name in the list. GT Interactive is the other one (Duke Nukem). The rest of the publishers are no-names. You might argue that Corel is a big name, but that company is on its way to penny stock status. In any event, the site has drawn only small companies, and the better known publishers are testing the try and buy market by giving WAVX one game.

Anyway, this all looks promising. But the try-and-buy is an untested marketing concept in the Internet Commerce area. Rent to own has a learned association with poor people who can't go out and buy a TV. But people who are wired to the net usually have above average educations and incomes, so there is considerable risk here.

But I say to myself, how many pieces of software have I regretted buying? And I would say about half the stuff I bought is crap, especially the games. So I think WAVX can become profitable off this, the quesiton is how much.
