The truth is the transmutation(which I call transnutation) he speaks of is false and fraudulent.
Elements can be transmuted by the acceptance and protons(and other nucleons etc) and this changes the atomic number and you have a new element. This requires extreme temperatures, like the interior of the sun. Temperature is atomic speed, and so the high temperature means the atoms are flying fast. When a positive nucleus or proton is going fast enough when it hits another atom it overcomes the + repulsive charges that the two have and enters the nucleus. After a settling time during which other nuclei and neutrons etc may come from this set of two it settles down as a new element. It might be radioactive, or stable. This occurs as far up as iron, and above that increasing energies are needed of the type found in supernova explosions. All fusions up to iron emit energy, like a hydrogen bomb emits energy of fusion. Above that they take more and more and above a certain atomic number they are all unstable(radioactive) and eventually they are so unstable you cannot make bigger ones as they split apart immediately, however some theorists think there might be several islands of stability above 114 atomic number, where you might make short lived species.
These conditions are not met with Joes' experiments. The only experimental rsult is the transfer of funds from your wallet to his via specials reagent purchases.
These rare elements like gold distribute them selves in the earths rock when melted. However as the crust cooled different rocks froze out, like sugar crystallizing in honey.
If you are familiar with Oil and water you recall that salt dissolves in water and not in oil, or alcohol. The assorted elements are like that. Platinum group metals dissolve in nickel and nickel sulfides better than they dissolve in quartz. So as the assorted molten rocks cools the platinum groups end up in the nickel sulfide rocks. Gold like to dissolve in a mixture of water, carbon dioxide and quartz at high temperature and pressure deep underground. So if you have a billion tons of rock with 1 part per billion(PPB) of gold(1 ton total) and you rinse and wash it with 1 million tons of quartz and carbon dioxide and water over 40 million years you end up with all the gold in the quartz. Since there is 1000 times less quartz, the gold is concentrated 1000:1 from 1 PPB to 1 PPM. Now if the watery quartz and carbon dioxide and water issue forth on surface the water turns to steam and the carbon dioxide escapes as a gas and you are left with quartz and the gold in it in veins as they worked their way up and out of the earth. That is why gold is often found in veins, and platinum and nickel are in massive sulfides.(no water and CO2 to mobilise them upwards)
The quartz wears away and the gold grains settle here and there as placer gold(placed there by water erosion).
The same also happens as platinum/nickel weathers, leaving the native platinum to move around. that is why you rarely get gold and platinum togther. Gold associates with Iron, silver, arsenic, tellurium, selenium, copper to varying degrees. It never issues epithermally with platinum/nickel. That is why rats are smelled when they find these bonanzas of gold, platinum all together. Like finding flies and spiders living together, it doesn't happen, they are not compatible.
Now Joe champion and his littermates look for victims here and there, but mainly where there are other victims. So they look for a sucker central, and drop a few lines and spin some pseudoscientific crap to them and perhaps 1 in 20 bites and then they focus on him.
Do you remember the boiler operators who would have a bunch of phone callers call a 1000 rich suckers, they woul tell 500 that XYZ stock would go up and 500 it would go down. Next day they called the 500 they were right with and told them they had another stock, 250 up, and 250 down. Third day they told 125 up and 125 down and the fourth day they told 63 up and 62 down(on different stocks of course). They then had 62 people who saw them pick 4 straight winners and they jumped in and bought their crap pump and dump stock bigtime. Game over for them. Same with the champions of the world, they troll for suckers where suckers live.
