Spoke today with Cyprus Amax people. New realignment is such that Cyprus will no longer
deal with gold mining but mainly copper. This makes me think Kinross arm will occupy themselves with gold production. They are also tightening belts as only small teem arriving to
PDAC convention. This must be due to bad year of 1997 for base and precious metals that will be felt in the budgets of all companies involved in mining business. They are familiar with Kinross - MIQ deal and read about it.
Somebody on Mine-Net was asking if it is true that some Canadian Junior Company hit .6 oz/t
in Nevada and signed deal with Kinross and it only trades at $0.3
Close enough.
Brandon, Sunday will be a slow day at DDAC. Real action start on Monday. I may still be there on Sunday.
