Joey, use your head and not your emotions. NO ONE BELIEVED INTEL when they said margins would average 50%... UNTIL NOW. Furthermore, not only is gross margin down, but they say that R&D, Depreciation and who knows what other expenses are UP. THAT MEANS PROFITS ARE WAY DOWN. Profits for 1998 could easily be 25% below 1997. If this happens in a quarter when AMD is having trouble producing K6's, what will happen when AMD, IBM, NSM are going full blast?
