TROYMIN ACQUIRES SIGNIFICANT LANDHOLDINGS AT SEPT ILES

Troymin Resources Ltd. (MSE,ASE-TYR) is pleased to announce the acquisition
to date of 470 claims totalling approximately 7500 hectares (18,800 acres)
in the new Lac Volant Cu/Ni/Co discovery area located 60 kilometres north of
Sept Iles, Quebec. Troymin has been staking claims in the vicinity of the
discovery since it was announced by the Quebec government in late August.

Activities were accelerated last week in partnership with Sept Iles based
Fonds R‚gional D'Exploration MiniŠre De la C“te-Nord (F.R.E.M.) after the
six-week freeze on staking in the 800 km2 area surrounding the discovery was
lifted. The new discovery, which assayed up to 5.93% Cu, 2.25% Ni and 0.16%
Co from trench samples, has triggered a staking rush by numerous mining
juniors as well as major players such as Inco, Falconbridge and Kennecott.

Troymin and F.R.E.M. are continuing to stake claims in the discovery area
and expect to commence airborne geophysical surveys in the near future. The
geological environment of gabbroic complexes intruding Proterozoic age
paragneisses, as well as the extent of the massive sulphide outcrops,
indicate the potential for a major new Cu-Ni play at Sept-Iles.

This new acquisition will complement Troymin's Hawk Ridge Cu-Ni project in
northern Quebec where several important new occurrences of high grade Cu-Ni
mineralization have been discovered in an ongoing drilling and prospecting
program.
