TOKYO, March 5 (Reuters) - Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei average fell below 17,000 in early morning trade on Thursday, as a decline in Wall Street stocks and Intel Corp's <INTC.O> unexpected earnings warning overnight weighed down Japanese high-technology shares, brokers said. At 0025 GMT, the Nikkei 225 average was down 172.52 points, or 1.01 percent, at 16,923.08. Its March futures were down 110 points at 16,940.
