>>For many people speed is the key consideration when buying a PC.<< it is a combination of relative speed and cost. this combination is not working in intc's favor right now. more and more people are trading the dollars for slightly less relative speed. sure, 2-3% of the market will pay whatever for more speed for speed's sake. this group is growing smaller b/c the relative speed difference isn't as much, though. intc doesn't grow eps focusing on 2-3% of the market ;-)
