Ed: Sorry for delayed reply to your earlier comments....have been on the road a great deal of late. The cost estimates for bringing 300 mm on stream are enumerated in the multiple billions of dollars. As you suggest, not many players are currently interested in taking on new capital expenditures, nor can we blame them. I suspect the whole industry is about to take a long capital expenditure holiday until this shakeout ends. This will likely require at least another year, perhaps more. Amortization schedules of late have been rather shoddy across the whole tech industry. Few will be interested in getting involved with new amortization requirements. (g) Best, Earlie
