John, The other thing to consider is that if a sale of the company were to occur, the patent might add significantly to the value. Most companies are valued based on their sales, growth rate and profitability. IMGX might have a bit more added value in any buyout. I am not sure how valuable this patent is to the industry overall, but it probably has some significant value to someone. The run up in the stock price this week has added about $13 million in value to Network Imaging's market cap. <<U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded a patent for the Company's flagship 1View:Object Manager technology. The 1View:Object Manager patent (U.S. #5,720,036) "Enterprise Multimedia Data Processing System and Method, Using Scalable Object-Based Architecture," recognizes the uniqueness of Network Imaging's techniques.>> The way that article reads, it seems like they gave a patent that covers almost the entire company. It will be interesting to hear during the next conference call how management views the potential of this or if we are making too much of it all. Jay
