It wasn't as much a mistake as indecision. The moment I placed the market order the price fell 1/8, then 1/4, and I decided to just double up and take the gamble (keep my shares, ride out the turbulence). By the time I cancelled the order I knew I was in for a surprise, but because of relatively slow execution in the heavily traded stock (GMGC) I sold only 100 of my 1000 shares. I don't know to consider this a good or a bad sign, as profit that's there for the taking is now uncertain.
