All - re: ABC News With the subject having been addressed in the tone and manner that it was on ABC tonight, the gates are opened for all the local affiliate reporters / anchors to start investigating and reporting on possible y2k concerns in their local markets. Much of the media "talent" in the mid-sized to smaller markets is young, aggressive, and looking to move up into bigger markets. What do you suppose they will find when they start looking and asking pointed questions of local companies and utilities? The "breaking" of this information to the mass public is not going to come from ceo's issuing statemens from on high. imho, The propelling force may well come from young and ambitious reporters doing their job in their local markets. Since the problem is everywhere, when they start looking and asking.....they will all find plenty to report about right at home --up close and personal.
