Thread,

I hadn't noticed it before, but on 2-17 a PR came out from InterTel that they have formed an alliance with Motorola for future R&D to be compatible with each others telephony operating system. The alliance was formed to develop an industry standard. THis may be a major development for Deswell.

Deswell is obviously making an attempt at more exposure.

If there's going to be a dividend announcement, I would think soon. My understanding was that we would have a nice surprise in earnigns and dividends. They just brought in almost $5M cash they really didn't need and a big special dividend would be a nice bonus to Insiders and those of us that kept the faith the last couple of months. (the newcomers don't deserve it, but what ya gonna do).

I expected gains today, but seems there's heavy profit taking.

Met with accountant today. Sure wish I had taken the Dec losses and bought back in 30. Had some sub-S writeoffs, but not near enough and the 1998 estimated is .... -grrrrr-

For what it's worth,
Ron
