** Intel's Andrew Grove *** Just caught the end of an interview with Andrew Grove on the Charlie Rose show where he envisions a billion computers in use connected to 100 million servers on the Internet. The reason why computers will be used for the Internet says Grove is that downloading data for storage and manipulation can only happen with computers. No one should be surprised that the CPU count has gone down. We have all known that the prices are coming down on the CPU's. Including a lot of would be buyers waiting for better prices. Heck most everyone has gone or is going to just in time inventory, I can get all the parts that's needed to build a system in one days notice. The street won't understand this tomorrow. Looks like Intel counts revenue when product ships. Reseller
